Surat Al-Baqarah Explained

Study Surat Al-Baqarah word by word with clear English translations.

In this course, you will receive the complete translation of every verse (ayah) of the Surah in order to appreciate its message as a whole.

You will understand the linguistic and contextual meaning of key words as well as learn the Arabic roots (origin) of selected words from each verse which will help them recognize related vocabulary throughout the Qur’an, inshaAllah. This is a natural way to build your knowledge of Qur’anic Arabic vocabulary through repeated roots and expressions.

This course is suitable for beginners and intermediate learners, whether you are a non-Arabic speaker, a student of Islamic studies, or anyone seeking a deeper connection with the words of Allah.

The English translation used throughout this course is from The Clear Quran by Dr. Mustafa Khattab as well as other complementary translations.
